Everything you need to know about our products and services
Power sprayers generally fall into three categories. Knapsack sprayers carry a 15–25 L tank on the operator’s back and typically use a compact 1–2 HP engine. Portable power sprayers are also carried but include a slightly larger engine and pump to deliver higher pressure for medium-sized fields. HTP sprayers (High-Pressure Triplex) are heavy-duty systems using a triplex piston pump paired with a 3–7.5 HP engine, designed for covering large fields and tall crops rapidly. Each type suits different applications depending on acreage and crop height.
Selection depends on area and terrain. Small kitchen gardens or home plots can be managed with manual or battery-operated units. Medium fields require engine-powered knapsack or portable sprayers for better coverage. Large farms benefit from HTP sprayers or complete power sprayer sets for continuous, high-pressure operation. Tank capacity also matters—smaller tanks (10–15 L) are lighter but require frequent refills, while 20–30 L tanks improve coverage efficiency.
Essential maintenance includes regular cleaning of nozzles, filters, and hoses to prevent clogging. Pump oil should be checked and refilled as recommended. Flush the tank with clean water after each application and store the sprayer in a dry place to avoid corrosion. Inspect seals, gaskets, and straps periodically. Following the service schedule (typically every 6–12 months) ensures consistent performance and extended machine life.
HTP stands for High-Pressure Triplex, referring to a three-piston high-pressure pump. This type of sprayer is ideal for large farms, orchards, and plantations where high reach and large coverage area are required. They operate at significantly higher pressure and flow compared to knapsack or portable sprayers, making them suitable for tall crops and demanding applications.
Small knapsack sprayers generally use engines in the 1–1.3 HP range. Portable sprayers typically use around 1–1.5 HP to support higher flow and sustained pressure. HTP sprayers require more robust engines—usually 5–7.5 HP—to drive heavy-duty triplex pumps. For multi-acre continuous spraying, engines in the 5–6 HP range deliver the optimal balance of power and efficiency.
Always use protective equipment including gloves, masks, eye protection, and long-sleeved clothing. Maintain a safe distance from the spray jet and ensure that straps are properly adjusted for balanced load distribution. Use the recommended nozzle and pressure settings for each chemical. After spraying, thoroughly clean the equipment and wash exposed skin to reduce chemical exposure.
Power sprayers can apply a wide range of liquid agrochemicals including pesticides, foliar fertilizers, and growth regulators. The fine atomization ensures even leaf coverage. Ensure the chemical is compatible with the sprayer’s pump materials. Most modern sprayers use corrosion-resistant components to handle common agricultural formulations safely.
Power Sprayer Sets combine a high-capacity engine with a heavy-duty pump and larger tank, enabling continuous high-pressure spraying without frequent breaks. They deliver greater efficiency, higher flow, and longer runtime—ideal for large farms and commercial use. Their reinforced frames and robust construction make them more durable for demanding, daily agricultural operations.
Knapsack sprayers generally operate around 15–20 kg/cm² with flow rates of 5–8 L/min. Engine-powered portable sprayers deliver similar pressure ranges but with more stable flow. HTP sprayers typically achieve 20–45 bar with significantly higher flow rates, sometimes exceeding 60 L/min depending on the pump. This higher output allows coverage of large or dense crops efficiently.
Many sprayers use corrosion-resistant materials such as aluminum bodies and stainless-steel fittings, allowing reliable performance in humid or rainy conditions. They can handle monsoon-weather spraying if cleaned after each use. Rinsing off mud and chemical residues and storing the equipment under shelter will maximize service life and prevent premature wear.
